Robert M. Rossiter founded the firm currently known as Rossiter Financial Group in 1947. Bob began his business as the Robert M. Rossiter Agency and was located on Court Street in Brooklyn, New York. Bob operated a successful insurance agency for many years. In 1980, he decided to move his business from Brooklyn to Long Island, specfically to the village of Huntington. At that time, Bob began his affiliation with the Gundermann & Gundermann Insurance Agency and he became incorporated as Rossiter-Gundermann, Inc. In 1983, Timothy Rossiter joined Rossiter Gundermann, Inc. Under Bob's direction, Tim decided to further his financial background, and he became a Certified Financial Planner. When Bob Rossiter retired in 1998, the corporation of Rossiter-Gundermann, Inc. was dissolved, and at that time Tim established Rossiter Financial Group, Inc. The firm specializes in assisting clients with many aspects of planning, including assisting them with decisions that impact long-term care..Medicare, Medicaid, and estate planning. In 2002, Daniel Rossiter joined Rossiter Financial Group. Prior to working at Rossiter Financial Group, Dan was an internal wholesaler at OppenheimerFunds located in New York City. Dan worked as an internal wholesaler from 1997-2001. Dan's primary focus now is handling the Employee Benefits for companies all across Long Island and Manhattan. The financial professionals within the organization work closely with estate planning and elder law attorneys in developing Medicare plans as well as trusts, wills, health-care proxies, and durable powers of attorney. Working with several accounting practices, Rossiter Financial Group, Inc. is able to confidently recommend them for the preparation of income taxes as well as estate planning preparation.
